EXL Films offers Jimmy Jib camera crane services to productions in Vancouver including locations in Whistler, Abbotsford, and Vancouver Island. The equipment we utilize is the Jimmy Jib Camera Crane.
The Jimmy Jib Crane arm length can be configured at 6, 12, 18, 24, & 30 feet and can support video and film cameras up to 50lbs. At 30 feet, the jib can achieve a maximum height of 33 feet off the ground. The Jimmy Jib’s remote head can be configured in either low-mode (under slung) or high-mode (over slung). The operator has control of pan/tilt, start/stop, focus, iris, and zoom. A setup time of 2 hours is required for full assembly of jib arm, remote head, and camera configuration.
Increased Production Value: Swooping, flying, and high rising shots add new and exciting angles, which raises production value, and viewer experience and excitement.
Larger Coverage: Ability to fly camera above and over the scene in one continuous shot with ability for quick repositioning of angles makes the jib a time saving and efficient tool for the job.
Multiple Tool Set: Jib arm can mimic dolly shots without the need to lay dolly track.
Impossible location shots made possible: Ability to seamlessly fly camera over rough terrain, cliffs, rocks, water, car, people ETC. makes the impossible and potentially dangerous shots, possible.
It’s EPIC: Enough said here…
